Get in on the action with Plöw and In Siren

Stoner metallers Plöw (Denmark / Iceland) have been in these digi-pages before. What's to report this time around then?, you ask. Well, they've made their debut EP, Bicentennial Picnic, available for streaming and download in two different locations; bandcamp and Gogoyoko. There's been an wave of reviews (Bicentennial Picnic is easily one of the more noteable end-of-the-year stoner metal releases from an up-and-coming stoner metal band - Doommantia). and interviews following the release of Bicentennial Picnic many of which you can get a hold of via their Gogoyko profile and facebook. I'm not convinced by this band yet but there's quite a lot going on in their sound so give this EP a spin or two.

Musically ambitious, proggy and hard-to-pin-down In Siren (Iceland), recently gave us plebs a three song preview for things to come. Featuring members of Momentum, Ask The Slave, Árstíðir, Black Earth and more, you should not expect anything ordinary or easy to digest. But there's grace and finesse here that might instantly appeal to the mort patient listener. I for one am still on the fence. But then again, I like to be on the fence. We'll see how this relationship develops later. Oh, and check out the strangely Mew'ian vibes in "Innocence."
